Join the Association
We are looking for two profiles with equal urgency: engineers who can build human-augmentation AI systems, and working professionals who know their trade well enough to separate execution from judgement. Without the first there is no alternative to build. Without the second, it gets built blind.
Who we are looking for
If you build AI systems, the association gives you something hard to come by: direct access to practitioners across dozens of trades who will explain how their work actually functions. Most assistance tools fail for one reason, and it is not technical — whoever designed them did not understand the task they were trying to support.
If you work in a profession you can see coming under threat, you will find people here who know how to build the alternative, and people from other sectors who have been through this already. What we want from you is not a complaint. It is a precise description of your work. Which parts are mechanical, which require judgement, where the risk concentrates, and what happens when something falls outside the process.
If you think about technology and its consequences for a living, the question of where delegation to a machine should stop is philosophical before it is technical, and we have been treating it that way for years.

What we ask of members
Not much, but it is specific.
Take part when you have something to add. Describe your trade honestly, including the parts you would rather not admit are automatable. And accept one uncomfortable premise: defending employment does not mean denying that a machine can do the work. It means building a better way of doing it between a person and a system.
Anyone looking for a place to argue that AI should be stopped will find little traction here. That is not our position and we do not think it is achievable.

Where we most need members
The association is well represented in industry. We need reinforcement where replacement pressure has arrived more recently:
- Customer support, where replacement is no longer a forecast.
- Software development, particularly at entry level.
- Legal services: document review, first-pass analysis, drafting.
- Accounting, audit and financial administration.
- Graphic design and illustration.
- Medical imaging and clinical support.
- Teaching, architecture and engineering.

Membership is free. Write to us with your profession, your field, and what you would like to contribute or argue about. No CV and no covering letter — an honest description of your trade and what you see coming for it is worth far more to us.
